We live in Stuart, FL, and have started a quilting and longarm business: Welcome to Running Stitches!

A little background: I started sewing baby quilts when I was pregnant with my second daughter at 27 years old. I've loved it ever since. Throughout the last decade (or two), I started making things when I needed them: a laptop case, curtains for my living room, pillowcases, wallets, tote and toiletry bags, and custom creations for the people I love.

It wasn't until recently that I finally took a risk and my husband and I invested in ourselves. We purchased a long arm quilting machine. If you don't know what this is, look it up! It's basically a giant quilting machine and incredibly efficient.

It's now been a few months, and with the encouragement of family, friends, and even strangers, my husband and I finally feel ready to turn this into a real business.
